The City of Loxley is reporting an estimated 1,000-10,000 gallons SSO on 6/2/24 at 1:45 p.m. near 3134 N. Holley St. in Loxley, Al. The SSO occurred when both lift station pumps failed causing an upstream manhole to overflow during a heavy rain event. The SSO did reach an unnamed tributary of Blackwater River, but we are unsure if it reached swimming waters.
